When it comes to lighting equipment, there are three major categories: the light sources, modifiers that control the spread of light, and grips or stands that support the lights. Professional studio light sources come in two types: kits with a flash head and a power pack or mono light kits. The flash head and power pack kit comes with a small power pack that acts as the generator that supplies energy to the flash head. Monolights come with the controls built directly into the light itself, so if you have multiple monolights, you’ll need to control and adjust the settings of each one separately. Head/power pack kits also offer faster flash durations and recycle times than monolights. Reflecting umbrellas produce a diffused and soft light due to the larger size of the reflecting surface. Soft boxes are square or rectangular boxes that come with a reflective inside and a translucent front. They are attached to the front of the strobe over the light source. Spilled light can hit walls and ceilings indoors causing it to reflect and bounce all over the place. A soft box is more controllable than an umbrella.

3 differences between Adobe Photoshop and Abode Lightroom are, Lightroom has a better mask selecting than Photoshop, but in Photoshop you can combine different pictures into one, but in Lightroom there is a recommendation section where you can see already edited pictures of yours and you can choose one or it can give your ideas on what your finished product should look like. 3 similarities are that you can change the color of objects, another similarity is that you can change the lighting on both, one last similarity they both have in common is that you can automatically make the images black and white if you want.
